Considered one of the
foremost leaders in documentary filmmaking, D.A. Pennebaker single-handedly
revolutionized the "Rock-umentary" art of filmmaking with
such classics as "Don't Look Back" filmed in 1965
featuring a young Bob Dylan and the groundbreaking 1967 rock classic,
"Monterey Pop" whose images of rock music legends
have since burned indelibly upon the pop-cultural landscape of our
society. "People that make things happen...they
don't really know what they're doing and
you have to watch and figure it out...I mean, it's really evolutionary,
really, isn't it?
