Journalist and best-selling
author, Legs McNeil, photographed in the infamous hotel room in
which rock icon Janis Joplin was found dead in October of 1970. When I
pointed Legs to the area where Janis' body was found, he replied,
"You want me to lie down there?" Legs' pop-cultural
classic, "Please Kill Me" (with co-author, Gillian
McCain), is a well-written and uncensored oral history of the Punk
movement.
